Thoughts that are swarming in my head after I've watched "Avatar" movie

First of all, I'd like to mention I used a screen version of this film for this study. It was shotted in Ukraine (as embedded subs are in Ukrainian), it had English sound (except the those blue aliens speech - who really cares about translation when you don't have to understand anything - there's not any information in their speech, only bare emotions are there). So, thanks to the lots of people who helped me to see this movie free of charge. Certainly, as I liked this story, I will go to the cinema and watch it there.

I'd like to mention some connections between famous Russian story "The snail on the slope" by Strugatsky brothers: Pandora as a name, hostile environment, problems with contacts between locals and humans. The differences are: the style of aliens, corporative greed, happy end. You really should read it here.

As for me, the humanoids at Pandora aren't people, but during the movie they are treated as humans. But I don't really care about this, I only care about resources for the industry of Earth, as it is the only source of research tools that are used in science. In the end of this story our planet lost a huge source of minerals. But why did this happen?

Let's go step-by-step what problems were encountered by human society@Pandora:
1. Moral problems: betrayal of scientists, including main scientific advisor of colony. The origin of the problem is lack of understanding between CEO and CSA. Probably it's because of personal interest of CSA in tis case: most of useful information was mixed with girlish cryings about 'poor aliens'.
2. Intellectual problems: the attack of wild animals wasn't predicted by modeling of Pandora's network. The problem existed because no-one could do scientists' work instead of them. The peoples' specializations were too narrow there.
3. Military problems - as there was a fighting in direct contact with bulk biomass, and defeat was theoretically predictable, launching ballistic nuclear rockets was quite a good choice.
After I've understood I'm staring at the process of moral, intellectual and military defeat of Earth, the movie became really satyric: we've got mentally deficient democrats here (scientists, I mean), stupid republicans (military troops) and highly incompetent administration.
Here, almost all problems of modern society were reviewed in this movie.
Of course I can understand the main character of this story (Jack): he's got some psychological problems because of his injuries - so he doesn't care about whom he betrays, he just likes walking and running and all that stuff. Probably, he is a product of inappropriate health services.

Sum: lack of communication and understanding between main institutions of society (army, science, government) and poor psychological state of minorities lend to the of the crush of lots of opportunities that could become a real breakthrough in the Earth's technologies and social life.

That's my point of view. It's quite personal and I don't pretend this is truth.
